Juan Ramón Santana is a Research Scientist with the Network Planning and Mobile Communications Laboratory, Universidad de Cantabria, where he also received his PhD in Telecommunication Engineering. He has participated in a number of international research projects, most of them within the Internet of Things (IoT) area and its application within the Smart City domain. His research interests include indoor positioning, the network and data management planes of IoT infrastructures, and IoT-enabled Smart City services.
